Two People Rescued By Coast Guard
LOS ANGELES -- Two people were rescued unharmed early Friday after a 42-foot commercial fishing boat sank near Point Vicente, about 200 yards off the coast of Rancho Palos Verdes, authorities said.
A Coast Guard spokesman said the men called for help at about 6:00 a.m. from the 42-foot boat. They were not injured.
The reason for the sinking is under investigation.
Authorities are trying to salvage the boat because of concern over leaking fuel.
