I was headed to Indonesia last year and because of the currents I bought an orange signal sausage , Dive Alert Surface Signaling Device and a divers strobe. Wanted to make sure if I was separated from the group I would have every opportunity to get someones attention for pickup. I purchased two Princeton Aqua strobes and had both fail with in the first few days during my live-aboard trip. One diver from Italy had a strobe ( Xenec SL-15 )that seamed to work well and was highly visible so I wrote the name down with the intent of buying when I got home. I bought three. One for me my wife and an extra. I have used them and they seam to be holding up well and wanted to recommend them to any who may be looking for a divers strobe. They seam to be readily available in Europe but a bit hard to find in the US. The link below is an on-line dive equipment retailer who handles the Xenec strobe. dawhale
