You're writing as if you don't have any experience diving from small boats. You've probably also never found yourself in very challenging weather or had to make a dive/abort decision when conditions were marginal.
The entire world of diving doesn't revolve around professionally chartered boats where you have a 3-4 highly skilled people there to save your ass should you make a mistake.
You're pretty hard on people. You had better hope that others will show you more consideration than you're showing here should you ever find yourself in trouble...
