Sunday, May 1st, at approx. 12:15 PM A very large Lingcod was brutally murdered outside the marker of Gerstle Cove. The victim suffered a fatal wound when the suspect shot the Ling with a S/S spearshaft thought to be about 36" long. After the victim was shot it was stabbed with a dive knife behind the head severing the spine causing instant death.
Witnesses said they saw 2 divers exit the water. One was described as a WMA, 6'4", early forties with a goofy looking bald head carrying the victim, and the other, also a WMA, 6'2", later 40's, who is thought to be the accomplice, also exited the water carrying another victim of his own. Both suspects were seen leaving the scene of the crime in a late model red Toyota pick up with a camper shell. The suspect vehicle also had a dive flag sticker on the rear hatch glass.
Funeral services for the deceased will be held at the suspects house in Santa Rosa at 7:00 pm. Guests who wish to attend must bring their own beer or wine of choice.
The victim will be embalmed in a combination of fresh garlic, olive oil, a little butter, and white wine. Then the victim will cook in these spices and juices till the meat flakes apart and melts in your mouth.
