When reading about torpedo rays, I came across an old post from here, where it was unclear whether the species was a spotten stingray or california round stingray.

I just wanted to confirm that it was a California round stingray, they are very common in harbors, I often see them 20ft from my doorstep, in the Marina harbor. They often get spots like this.
I hope no one minds me responding to a post from 2003!
