Dove the Kelp beds Sunday. Planned to do the Ruby E from Mission Bay however the Rock and Roll Marathon route prevented us from getting to the Dana Landing. Launched instead from San Diego Bay at Shelter Island.

By 7:30 the parking lot was full. There is way to many single car stalls and not enough truck and trailer stalls. Ample parking if you have a car, slim pickens if you are trailering a boat. And if you pull through and park in two car stalls I was told by a passerby they will cite you in a heartbeat. A couple of hours later they were issuing tickets to those that could not get a truck trailer stall. Be carfull at the Shelter Island Ramp. The ramp may be free to use but it appears they collect the fees indirectly through parking tickets.

Dropped the anchor in 45' infront of Sunset Cliffs. Andersons pea soup is just a tad greener then what it was there. Still not all that bad about 15 to 20' of vis. Flat seas and full sun made up for it. Kelp is developing nicely. The reef has a few rocks with lobsters, but not many fish. Quite a few jellyfish drifting about. No current. Same jellyfish was floating above the anchor before the dive and was there at the end.
