I know that liability releases do not always work, but at least a properly worded release might help the family to not initiate the suit by showing the intent of the diver before the dive. On some buddy locaters I have seen folks promising to sign a waiver so people will buddy with them. I have tried in vain to locate a buddy waiver form. Most of the forms I am aware of are for organizer protection rather than the buddy. Anyone seen one? I would probably buddy up more if I could protect my family in case a stranger has cardiac problems next to me!
