Good post. many of the Solo issues you mention are also argued about in many other high risk activities, moutain climbing, kyaking, moutian biking...ect. seems no matter what you do, you cann't please everyone. one thing that keeps floating thru my humble brain, DIR. I know what the initials stand for, but what Tazar decided what was the right way? Seems DIR was just the opinion of one person, that some others liked too, now it's suppose to be "THE" way. I love bickering, gives me something to do :).
