I agree that tech diving demands a unified team procedure or DIR, as you guys call it, and should never be attempted independently. I am not, nor shall I ever be a tech/deep diver. I've been diving an independent profile since 1964 in every major body of water in the world. You and Johnny boy were still having your diapers changed. Bottom line: what came first, diving or certification agencies? You can't teach experience.
