If I read you right, you're saying as long as we're both not bent, the choice of gas is irrelevent. What about the damage done by silent bubbles? Do you regularly Doppler yourself? I do. After multiple dives of similar profiles on air and nitrox, my bubble grades are lower on nitrox. Yes, the correllation between low bubble grades and DCI symptomes is low, but I don't want any more of the little buggers running around my system than necessary.
