I just checked the chart, Santa Barbara would be 30 degrees (six palm widths at arm's length) right of the West end of Catalina from the top of the ridge. At a distance of 47 Nmi, easily visible. I saw it from the bluffs at Portugese Bend (PV peninsula) this afternoon.
Beautiful day in the (extended) neighborhood.
