Dear Emmanuel; I dove Redondo Cyn. on my Advanced
check out dive with our divemaster. He stated the
canyon wall drops down at a 45 degree angle to a
depth of approx. 200 or 600 feet and then flattens out
across the bottom for a long way, until you reach
the other side of the canyon wall and then up it
goes. The squid love it here due to the cold
upwellings from the deeper water. The vis is a
little bit better, but watch your depth gauge. We
went to 95 feet and we still could have gone a
long way down. Not much to see except for an
occasional shovelnose guitarfish or ray. All
sandy bottom and easy entry and exit, since the
surf is very small. Enjoy
