Was your upper dump valve failure one of those pull dumps attached to your BC inflator hose? Those types of dumps have been the subject of discussion over the years for exactly that reason, that they're prone to failure. I'm glad you were prepared and obviously handled it properly. How do you think a newbie would have faired?
