"The K.I.S.S. approach to this tank vs. wet or dry discussion is super simple: given the knowledge of our personal bouyancy, diving wet or dry we should be able to weight ourselves appropriately and safely for ANY tank regardless its composite, shape, size, or capacity. Nicht wahr?"

What's "lost" about the concept of diving with ANY tank if we're weighted properly for it? For example, my two main tanks are a steel 72 and a steel 120; 13 pound difference. I simply leave two 5 pounders on the boat when I jump in with the 120, repocket them when I switch to the 72. This, of course, is on boats with no compressor.
As to the "nicht wahr?", which I misspelled, the translation is: isn't that so?
