combining OW1 and AOW is definitely an excellent idea! i didnt know any stores do that. OW1 is usually 4 dives, and AOW is usually 5 more, for a total of 9 dives. that is a lot of diving on scuba, for a new diver, and that person would definitely end up very well trained! typical costs for 2 courses like that is $200 + $200 = $400 and it would be well worth it.
