It's almost seems like a paradox to me when studying deco theory and N2 , O2 and Helium as it relates to divers. For instance.

Dr. Bennett March 2001 DAN Alert Diver discusses his opinion about saturation of the spinal cord in 12 minutes at 100' and goes on to say at best it should desaturate in 12 minutes. He suggest slower ascents and stops along the to release the larger bubbles. Not so you can have less hang time but so you don't get bent. After 12 minutes at 100' I think I would rather not ditch my weight and make a rapid ascent. What options are there? Assume no dry suit and/or dry suit failure.
