Large shark at Catalina

A large shark was seen circling the Encore yesterday on the front side of Catalina.
I have received several reports by email and phone saying it was a great white.
However, one email contained a picture.
The shark in the picture looks like a large blue shark, not a great white.
I am trying to obtain permission to publish the picture.

My guess is either a shortfin mako or a GW Eins 00:22:15 04/04/01 (20)
