I can't even imagine what it would be like looking
through the small glass window of the hyperbaric
chamber at your 8-11 year old child breathing through and oxygem mask, crying, in pain, asking you if he is going to die, and so on...
I don't see why they don't just teach them snorkeling and breath hold diving in the pool.
Kids don't need scuba gear to have fun in a pool
and it wouldn't have any more risk than summer
swim lessons. Padi would still be able sell
patches, cards, coloring books, and toys, and the dive shop can still make a few bucks to offset costs in the summer and after school hours. The
kids would learn some good skills that will help
them when they move up to scuba, and still have
fun doing it.
