I work there every Thursday night, leave work a bit early. Just started doing presentations for the kids' sleepovers, and it's a lot of fun, especially when you think that you might have some impact on the way these kids think about the environment. Plus it might even get them interested in diving.

FYI, requirements

50 logged dives
Rescue cert or higher
Oral interview
Written diving skills test
In water diving skills test
Current CPR/MFA
AAUS level physical exam
4 hours per week commitment (unless special arrangements are made)

Benefits

Get to dive with sharks, rays, jacks, yellowfin, black seabass every week
Get to dive with seals and sea lions
Great training and contiuing education, CPR, MFA, DAN O2 (and cheap, at cost)
The looks on kids' faces
Free admission (it's cool to wander around at night)

If anyone wants a volunteer application, email me or call the Aquarium directly
