No matter how you view this, this is a tragic situation. However, I'm going to nit-pick to make a point.

Where was this stated earlier???? How do you state this as fact????

I've looked through all ssven posts on this thread, and can't find anything even remotely close to . . . "clawing at her partner."

Too often, in amautuer accident analysis (and this is NOT meant to be a dig at randy54), we take pre-conceived notions, alter the known facts, and reach a "conclusion" that can't be supported by said facts.

"This NEVER would have happened on boat XYZ."
"This shows that . . ."
"Obviously, . . ."

This is NOT the way, IMHO, to learn from these incidents.
