as for the deeper 'V' shape, i actually went
and had the plate flattened out a bit b/c it
was quite uncomfy on my back (especially walking
around w/the rig out of water). i think
reshaping the plate and making that 'V' shallower
(and allowing the tank to sit closer on my back) actually helped.

however, it IS!! a nice plate that he designed,
isn't it??
