Well, now you can.

I am the diver in the photos. Of course I am wearing fins. With a propulsion system you can easily be a mile from where you started after a dive. If the batteries die that is an awful long swim with booties. Simple redundancy.

I certainly don't want to launch another round of the fin wars, but I like the split fins. I've owned Mares Plana Avanti fins and split fins, and I found the split fins much better for me. The kick is a bit faster, much more like a freestyle kick (which is good for me as I used to be a competitive swimmer). I get better thrust with much less strain on my ankles. My air consumption on dives with a lot of kicking dropped around 20% after the switch. You couldn't pay me to trade back to the Mares (although I've never tried the Jetfins).
