Steve,
I don't have time right now to get into another war---I've been in too many on rec.scuba :-)

I made a couple of posts about high PO2 levels causing enzyme problems, and about the period which occurs "prior" to toxing. My main issue was that Nitrox is too often used by recreational divers to extend bottom time on 80 foot to 130 foot dives, and in these depth ranges, particularly when used for repetitive dives as on a liveaboard dive vacation, it is a practice I consider to be unhealthy ( like smoking cigarettes), in that it is likely to cause a major concentration of free radicals in response to the high PO2 over time---this will promote cellular damage and cause pre-mature aging....At least, that's my belief. But like I said, I'm not in this forumn, and I can't get in this arguement this week. If its still raging next week, maybe I'll look in :-)
Regards,
Dan Volker
