Kevin, I agree with you on this (I like wreck diving and I like finding and taking
artifacts). I know that most of the wrecks we dive, will only be rusty flakes in the sand in
a few years. But I think that we need to show some self -restraint when it comes to
wrecks like the Yukon (I know it’s hard, I saw some bass wheels the last time I was there,
and I had some very bad thoughts). Taking artifacts off wrecks like the Yukon or a wreck
like the Winnie only gives all of diving a bad name. And with some of the stuff that is
coming down the pike here, diving may need all the good PR it can get.
