We've taken our 19 ft Seaswirl Cuddy Cabin over to Catalina dozens of times and never had any serious problems. You need to pay attention to the weather forcasts, of course, but that's part of the game. It's best to cross before late afternoon as the wind chop can be uncomfortable after 3 pm or so.

Not to spam or anything, take a look at the post above--boat for sale. It's ours and it is indeed for sale. We recently bought a 25 ft sailboat and need to sell this one.
