Buy real SCUBA stuff from a real dive shop. It will cost more, but be less expensive int he long run. I have to tell you that I have seen quite a few new students using gear from "Price Club" who had to replace it during or after their first pool session. The stuff looked good, but they had buckle problems and the like.

If you buy from a reputable shop they will help you to pick good equipment that will last. I old fins that I retired a year ago were more than 20 years old. They were Scubapro Jet Fins. I bought another pair just like them becaue I trust them and know how they swim. Buy quality and enjoy the hobby. But remember this is an expensive, gear intensive hobby.
