Aha! That makes sense now. I went in as part of a 3-person buddy team. We dipped down and crawled along the sand, heading straight for one of the outer floats. Dive buddy 1 picked up his first lobster within 5 minutes, I picked up one a few minutes later and we both picked up one with in a few feet of the outer float. Dive buddy 2 didn't get any, but he was doing all the hard work by navigating.(which was *really* hard since the vis about 3 inches at times) So after half an hour, we surfaced and I handed him one of my lobsters.

None of us got any 'fabulous' prizes, but we all had a great time. Seeing 450 divers poised at water's edge waiting to go in was worth it all by itself.
