I normally hit Catalina for the lobster opening, but since it has become the opening night spot for most of the dive boats I thought I would give Santa Cruz a shot. Can anyone provide me with some ideas of some spots to check out? I'm also interested if anyone can give me information on areas to avoid or areas I should be careful about exploring.
Also, while I've spent some time at Cruz, I wouldn't say I'm real familar with it from a boaters perspective, so if anyone could provide ideas for good anchorage spots after diving that would also be helpful.
