I dove a Sherwood Maximus for 10 years, and thought it was the greatest reg since sliced bread. Then I tried my new Atomic B1. Have you ever tried breathing through soggy sliced bread? Well, I found out that my Maximus wasn't, in fact, better than sliced bread. Don't get me wrong, it was a great regulator, took alot of abuse, and the company stood by me with the warranty (I got one of the last regs with a lifetime warranty). It's just that the Atomic (and I'm sure the SP) is a quantum leap in performance.
