After the temp drop, I have seen 200 foot vis at Malibu.
My best guess is that there is excellent diving north of the Ventura pier
for a few 100 yards. Try the point where the surfers are. I'd really like
to know what you see... once you can see anything.
From my experience, I would say, no, I'd tell you that diving in any reach
of a fishing pier can be suicidal. There are a lot of people there because
they are bored.
