Frank,

I agree that we are prepared to act with respect to an OOA as a matter of #1 priority. We train that if we see an irradict signal we assume that means OOA.. Why??? It's easy, because that is the most immediate need and the most dangerous situation to be in so we automatically respond with gas.. Should it happen to be a different emergency we'll deal with it, but as a matter of priority donating gas is the top of the list so that's what we train for...

The chances of any of us running out of gas is very remote, but that is the difference between our mindset and other's.. I assume NOTHING under water, even though I trust everyone of my teamates.. If I need gas, I want it.. If my buddy needs gas, he'll get it.. We can always talk about the why's at the surface but the point is he/she will need gas in order to get to the surface and that will require gas..
