Ya smart guy. Certification agencies are what will favor the industry.
GUE is an Educational, Exploration, and Research oranization and does in fact offer certification. But, GUE as well as any DIR diver realize that a certification doesn't mean anything unless you keep up with your diving practices. This includes continuation of studies whether inside GUE or out.
