Hmm, DIR divers won't dive with the typical rec diver. Odd that. Guess you've never seen my wife and I together on a boat or beach.

I'm curious though. How does a rec diver become DIR without diving with DIR divers in the first place?

One of the things I've heard over and over again, with more than a small grain of truth, is "You can't learn to dive on the Internet. You have to get wet." So, again, I ask how exactly do you thing we started diving DIR if the DIR divers only dive with their own?

I'm not exactly sure when DIR kicked your dog, but perhaps you shouldn't complain about the gross generalizations you perceive the DIR folks (and I include myself, now) are making if you are going to do the same.
