I was curious about how those of you who've dove at or near Casino Point this week would characterize the vis. I spent a couple of hours in the water Thursday morning, and thought it was okay, though I've seen better; another diver and I agreed that it looked like around 40' or so. Then I opened up this morning's L.A. Times and see that they reported it was 75-80' at Avalon on Thursday. Did it dramatically clear up later, or do we have different ways of interpreting the same thing? (Then again: I stayed very close to shore in the underwater park. Maybe it was clearer farther out?)
