Perhaps Karl Huggins will want to tackle this, but I think the general answer is that it's like being pregnant . . . either you is or you isn't.

Basically, if they think you may be bent, they'll recommend treatment. It should fix things if you are bent and won't hurt you if you're not.

Perhaps what your question really asks is . . are there bends hits that are so minor that they may resolve on their own without treatment or that the impairment may be so minor as to not make treatment seem all that necessaary.

My layman's opinion would be "Yes." But I'd also still say you're bent and will be better off getting treated than not getting treated.
