I had a problem once with a 1950's vintage ream cutter (a paper cutter that cuts a stack of 500+ pieces of paper at once).
The company was out of biz. So I took the broken part to a local machine shop. They knocked one out in a day ans charged me 85 bux. When you think about it, finding a vintage part would have been as much.
