Your right Disgusted Too. God forbid a ship sinks and creates an artifcial reef. Why that would give a home to tons of marine life and create a great dive site at the same time!
As for the kelp, please, a good boat capt does not just go in and rip the place to shreds. And if he did tear some kelp up, well I guess the area would be really screwed, huh? I guess you were not aware that that stuff can grow up to a foot a day. If a boat gave the edge of the kelp bed a haircut, it wouldn't have nearly any impact compared to hunters poaching everything in site week after week. Get real dude!
