I see the point you are trying to make: that the ones we take now are not able to reproduce later. This would make more sense if lobster were in some way threatened, but I’ve yet to see any info on that. Sure, we can’t pluck 14lb bugs from the tidepools, but most people are able to bag limits on many days in many locations.

Anyone have a cache with great viz, easy beach entry, and big bugs they want to sacrifice? (No, the supermarket aquarium doesn’t count.)
