Date 11 Aug 02 Dive Time: 10:26 am to 11:00 am. Tide Low:05:57 High:12:23 Location: 24320 Mailbu Road, Malibu CA. Vis: 10-15 ft. Water Temp: 64F at 23 Ft.

Short stairs takes you to a rock strewn beach. Entry is easy, but the water is shallow with lots of bolders in the water too. Entry is eaiser at low tide to avoid having to wade out over a bunch of rocks. There is a small sandy beach to the left of the stairs that would be an excellent entry site. Note, the beach disapears at high tide as the high water mark is under these homes!

Off shore we found lots of rock reefs and kelp. Lots of schooling fish in an abundance I have not seen in a while. Not too skittish about divers either.

Did a second dive at 24434 Malibu Road. Dive time 1:54 pm to 2:50 pm. Vis 10-15.

Sand beach entry. Swim out over sand to kelp located just to the left as you swim. Took an easterly headding to swim through the kelp. Found an exquisit rock wall about 10-15 feet tall. Again lots of schooling fish, the occasional guitarfish and one very large bat ray. Excellent diving.
