Millions of pounds are impressive numbers Brad but is that .00009% of the available stock or what? That is probably a drop in the bucket of what will be needed down the road. I think much more can be done to increase the harvest for fisheries world wide and not just locally. Investing all these funds to put the squeeze on private citizens who may possibly have a short lobster by having 5 game wardens hiding in the bushes has very few beneficaries also.

Maybe I',m an optimist but there are programs like the Giant Totoaba hatchery/breeding program at the University of Baja where they are boosting the ovulation process and releasing fish back to the wild.
