I dive Monterey darn near every weekend (120 or
so dives this year). I think there's a lot more
life in Monterey than I've seen on the couple
of trips I've done to So Cal (Vision, and Peace).
I see scallops most every dive. I see abalone
occasionally. I saw fewer abs (like NONE) five
years ago, more 15 years ago. I see purple
urchins most every dive. I DON'T see urchin
barrens.
