I honeymooned in Tahiti/Moorea/Bora Bora and if I had more time would have hit another island. Lots of newly weds go there and the over water bungalows are cool but expensive. There were many anniversary couples on their second or third honeymoon also. Tahiti has a strong French cultural influence (topless women sun bathing). That may be a consideration for you but mostly I felt that aspect added the titillating, romantic and freespirited atmosphere.
