I think relatively few people are aware of the West End Invertebrate Reserve on Catalina from Lion's Head Point to Arrow Point. I'm not sure myself what the regulations are regarding the take of lobster, but if it's truly an invertebrate reserve it shouldn't be done.
I never worry about the regulations anymore anyway... I stopped taking back in the 1970's. It was strictly a personal decision and I have nothing against those who hunt legally for food (however I fail to accept the indiscriminant killing of animals for "sport").
