Dive Recommendations for Newcomer

Can anyone recommend the best dive spot in Southern Cal for seeing kelp beds, seals/sea lions, and lots of marine organisms? I am from Florida and will be staying in Orange County for the next month, but i will probably only get to do one dive here. I have never used a wetsuit before (but plan on renting), so good water temperatures are also a consideration. Also, if anyone knows of a good dive company to go out with, that information would be really helpful too. Thanks alot!
