The White Seabass are have been in for a while. There are tons of them around. Every year there are more and more of them. The ban on commercial gill netting near shore and the breeding pens set up by the united anglers have been steadily increasing the population. The spear fishing has been great. Here are a clouple of pictures of recent catches. One was 35 lbs and the other was 49.5 lbs. With lobsters we can release the big ones but with spearfishing we can't do that. Instead we try to pass on the little ones and shoot only the bigger ones. Freediving for these fish is challenging, exciting and rewarding. Mel
