UKIAH -- An Auburn man has disappeared off the coast of Mendocino County after an apparent shark attack.
Authorities say 50-year-old Randall Fry was diving with a friend yesterday afternoon near Westport when what his friend describes as a "big fish" appeared between them.
The friend made it back to the boat the two men were diving from. But Fry has not been seen since.
The Coast Guard and boats from other agencies have been searching for Fry since yesterday afternoon.
