You want to ask around for private lessons. it will be more expensive but it will be one on one. Look for a shop that has their own pool there are quite a few of them out there. Plan on plunking down about 150 to 250 for the snorkeling gear. Another 500 to 700 for the certification. That price should include books, cert card, rental equipment, a trip to the beach and possibly a trip on a boat.
Ask around there are shops and instructors that can meet your need.
