One thing to remember is that NiCd and NiMh rechargeable batteries
have a lower internal resistance than Alkalines, so UNDER LOAD, the
rechargeables may have a higher voltage. This is certainly the
case under very high load applications like camera strobes. This
is why strobes recycle faster with NiCd and NiMh batteries.
