Hi Marc. I had the Lasik surgery February, 2004. I did not have the plugs put in at the time of my surgery, but several months later because my eyes were too dry. They didn't help. Anyway, the plugs will not cause any problems with equalization. In fact, I had permanent plugs put in about two months ago, and I was diving immediately. By the way, the permanent plugs didn't help either. I guess my eyes are just extremely dry! You can check with your doctor, but in my personal experience, I only needed to be out of the water for the prescribed amount of time. Hope your eyes don't stay as dry as mine did, or you'll be putting those drops in your eyes forever!!
