Hoop-netting represents THE most substantial increase in the take of lobster since the inception of the commercial lobster fishery. And the commercial take has declined in recent because of the pressure.

on a personal note, (i don't take lobster or any game, but) i resent people shlepping out there in comfort and security of their boats, flipping a stupid net over the side and taking so many of those prised crustations and doing it in such a sloven and 'easy' mannor.

lobster are TOO VALUABLE to allow hoop-netters to take a full limit of 7!

Lobster like abalone: if you want one you have to get it the old fashioned way...

you have to get IN THE WATER and EARN it!
